ANTI-SMOKING AND ANTI-VAPING

ANTI-SMOKING AND ANTI-VAPING

Our main aim for anti-smoking and anti-vaping is to make young people aware of the consequences of starting to smoke or vape.

HE SAID “YOUR BREATH STINKS

We all know our young people are vulnerable and could be easily led or manipulated by mentors, friends and celebrities into start smoking or vaping.

The tendency for young people, should they start smoking and become addicted, similar to drugs, is that the next step is to try alcohol, legal highs and other drugs.

According to official survey data, 207,000 children start smoking in the UK each year.

Our initiative is to stop them smoking or vaping before they start by showing the early consequence of starting to smoke. As young teenagers, they are more self-conscious about their appearance, their complexion, their looks, their odour, their breath, their social standing.

Some of our anti-smoking scratch and sniff cards highlight the smell of smokers compared to clean/fresh non-smokers, along with an image of how smoking can affect a young person’s appearance, health and wellbeing and social standing.

ANTI-SMOKING/ANTI-VAPING SCRATCH & SNIFF CARD

This card shows a young teenager. Scratch each side of the teenager’s face to reveal different smells.

A pungent smell is released on the right side of her face as opposed to the fresh smell on the opposing side.

Cards can be available in a custom size of your choice, single or double sided, full colour printing, in standard stock card weights.

SMOKING KILLS

Smoking is the primary cause of preventable illness and premature death, accounting for approximately 100,000 deaths a year in the United Kingdom.

It is estimated that each year around 207,000 children in the UK start smoking.

Among children who try smoking it is estimated that between one third and one half are likely to become regular smokers within two to three years.

SMOKING AND SEX

Smoking cigarettes can affect a person’s libido, sexual performance, and fertility. People who smoke cigarettes, vapes, cigars, and other tobacco products are also likely to experience detrimental effects.

There are around 600 different ingredients in cigarettes, many of which are toxic.

When a person inhales cigarette smoke, they ingest chemicals such as ammonia, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen cyanide.

This can affect a person’s overall health. Experts link smoking to multiple health problems and diseases, including cancerheart diseasestroke, and chronic lung conditions.

Aside from this, smoking also has detrimental effects on a person’s sexual function and fertility. Females who smoke, may experience difficulty getting pregnant, while males may have a low sperm count and experience erectile dysfunction.

Additionally, as smoking can cause high blood pressure and circulatory issues, it can reduce sensations of arousal for both males and females.

These issues can cause sexual dysfunction, which refers to an ongoing and persistent difficulty with sexual response, desire, orgasm, or pain.

Sexual dysfunction can make people feel anxious and depressed and can cause low self-esteem. These feelings can also inhibit a person’s sex drive and lead to an unfulfilled sex life.
